Arcitell, LLC partners with Habitat for Humanity to install new composite stone siding on Canton home

Canton, Ohio, October 20, 2020 — A new composite stone siding material manufactured in Tuscarawas County will be installed on a Canton home being built with Habitat for Humanity East Central Ohio.

Arcitell, LLC, owned by The Belden Brick Co. and Acell Industries, Ltd, will install its new Qora Cladding composite stone siding on a Habitat home this month as part of a partnership between the business and the nonprofit.

Qora Cladding comes in multiple colors, has the look and feel of stone and is impact- and fire-resistant. Unlike stone or brick, Qora Cladding is manufactured in panels and can be installed with basic carpentry tools and without masonry skills, which keeps labor costs down during a construction project.

"Since the formation of Arcitell, doing the right thing has been a core value used to guide nearly every key decision that we have made in our journey thus far,” said Mike Maddern, Director of Marketing and Sales for Arcitell, LLC. “The opportunity to work with Habitat and support the Lightner family was a fantastic way for us to demonstrate this guiding principle while supporting the community where many of our employees call home. We’re proud to have Habitat as one of the first homes built with Qora Cladding and hope they enjoy its benefits for years to come!"

For Habitat for Humanity East Central Ohio, the donation of the composite stone siding will differentiate the look of a home that is under construction on Seventh Street NE in Canton, where there already are six other Habitat houses.

"While simple, decent, affordable housing is our goal, we use high-quality products in the construction of our homes and are always looking for new and innovative products to enhance the appearance of Habitat houses,” said Beth Lechner, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity East Central Ohio. “We are excited to work with the team from Arcitell to install the Qora Cladding siding on one of our homes and are thankful to the company for partnering with Habitat."

The Qora Cladding will be installed October 27 at 2132 Seventh St. NE in Canton.  Representatives from Arcitell, LLC and Habitat for Humanity East Central Ohio, along with the future homeowner, will be on site at 10 a.m.

Members of the media are welcome to come and take photos and conduct interviews.
